She was just walking down the street with her friend minding her own business when a social media influencer approached her to ask a few questions. The next thing that came out of her mouth was what would make her famous. If you don’t know the story, the original video is below. But she has blown up and it has been nothing less than phenomenal.
The headlines say that she gets offered about $30,000 just for appearances and she has a manager who makes sure the opportunities keep coming. The thing is, she’s such a natural that she was able to stay relevant all by herself. Her first mission was to spread awareness about the animal shelters.
Finding A Home For Cats and Dogs
When she started making money, she went straight to a pet store and bought thousands of dollars worth of supplies. Then, she contributed all of that to a local animal shelter as she did her own Public Service Announcement. That was impressive. No one was telling her to do that. No one was coaching her on being a good person and how to get that kind of attention. She did that out of the kindness of her own heart, a genuine act of love. Fans saw that!

If anyone is going to catch viral fame, I would hope it would be more people like her who aren’t out to make it all about themselves. But another great thing about her, she keeps coming up with more gold. “Hawk Tuah” was just the first thing she said that went viral.

When she was on Club Random with Bill Maher, she was talking about Jay-Z’s hit “Empire State of Mind” featuring Alicia Keys. The actual line Alicia Keys sings is, “Concrete jungle where dreams are made of.” But Haliey Welch has her own version, “Concrete Jungle Wet Dream Tomato.” That’s too good. Pure gold.
Then of course, there is her own Twitter or X if you prefer. While her Instagram has about 2.4 million followers, her X is climbing to almost 400K where she shares more about herself. I have a feeling she either has a whole bunch of lines stored up or she just comes up with them off the top of her head.

The line of course is about eating junk food…I’m pretty sure. Of course, the internet has a way of making its own meaning out of anything. It’s like elementary school with a bunch of kids running around saying all kinds of things because they think it’s funny. Then, you realize that it’s not a bunch of kids though. Some of these people are in their 40s and even their 50s. The internet has given back our playground but that also means all the childish games that go along with it.
One very awesome trait about Haliey is that she has taken her friend Chelsea Bradford with her through all this. Chelsea is the friend standing beside her in the original video who didn’t get a chance to answer the question when Haliey spit out her answer. See what I did there! Yes, the pun was intended.
