Girls Of Ridiculousness After The Era Of Chanel West Coast

Chanel West Coast

Chanel West Coast was part of the Ridiculousness team from the start and it felt like a hole opened up when she left the show. Rob Dyrdek and Steelo Brim have held it down but it has taken a team of girls to fill the void Chelsea left behind.

When I first heard about Chanel West Coast leaving the show, my first thought was that the show was not going to make it after her. Her laugh was infectious and irreplaceable. Her expressions were so genuine. “That’s so cute,” for the babies and the puppies. A legitimate scream came from her if a person almost died or if a spike ended up inside an innocent victim. She was real and that’s what made the show.

Of course, Rob Dyrdek and Steelo Brim are just as big a part of the show as she was. But at one time, it seemed as if one of them was removed, the show just wouldn’t work. Plus, I thought Rob had discussed shutting the show down several times before Chanel left. So, it was up in the air if it was going to survive anyway.

Hats off to the ladies who have stepped up in Chanel’s absence. They are a brilliant crew who keep getting rotated through and they bring their own breath of fresh air to the show. It looks like Ridiculousness will continue indefinitely and it’s because of them that the show will go on.

B Simone

You might know B Simone from Wild N’ Out with Nick Cannon. She has an interesting laugh of her own and she has taken the seat where Chanel once sat. She’s been on a few times and there’s a good chance she’ll be on a few more. But who knows who is ultimately going to take that seat if any particular person will at all?

Brie Bella

The professional wrestler Brie Bella has been on the show with her sister back when Chanel was still on it. But she has found a way into the selection of girls Rob has chosen to help host. Her sister Nikki found a gig on Blake Sheldon’s Barmageddon so in addition to all the things the twins do together, like have their babies at the same time, Brie is looking for her gig and she makes a good fit on Ridiculousness.

Brittney Elena

via MTV

Brittney Elena is known as a social media influencer. But she’s also an actress known for Long Slow Exhale (2022), Real Husbands of Hollywood (2013), and Couples Night (2017). She’s also been on Wild N’ Out but now she can add Ridiculousness to her resume.

Camille Kostek Could Replace Chanel West Coast

via MTV

The wife of the great Rob Gronkowski, Camille Kostek was a successful model before meeting Tom Brady’s teammate. Now, she’s part of the Wipeout cast on TBS as well as one of the regulars on Ridiculousness. She would make a great replacement for Chanel West Coast. But she has some stiff competition.

Carly Aquilino for Chanel West Coast

via MTV

Carly Aquilino is a hilarious comedian who can hang with the sense of humor on the show. When Rob and Steelo get into it, she’s right there with them. In fact, she adds to the humor of the show because she’s bright and she stays on her toes. She might be able to fill the seat but the competition is a long and distinguished list.

Karrueche Tran

via MTV

Karrueche Tran starred in Claws along with Niecy Nash, Jenn Lyon, Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Harold Perrineau, and Dean Norris. It would be easier to list who wasn’t in that show. However, Tran was famous before the show. And for some reason, she’s mentioned a lot in her relationship with Chris Brown as if that was the highlight of her life. Anyway, she adds her own special touch to Ridiculousness and it wouldn’t be a bad thing if she took up permanent residence in that seat.

Lolo Wood For Chanel West Coast

via MTV

Lolo Wood is the singer-songwriter who recorded “Please Don’t Leave” with Michael McDonald back in 1979. Yes, that’s how long she’s been in the industry. Her 1990 hit “Fallen” was used in the Julia Roberts film Pretty Woman. When she’s on Ridiculousness, she’s laid back with a quick sense of humor and I think she adds her own flavor to the show.

Madison Beer

via MTV

Madison Beer is a singer-songwriter who has been enjoying fame since Justin Bieber noticed her and shared her with the world. In 2013, she released her hit “Melodies.” She takes the seat on the couch at Ridiculousness every once in a while and it’s nice to see her on a show. She has her own style and that might be what the show could use.

Nina Agdal

via MTV

Of all the celebrities who have been on the show, Nina Agdal seems to make the best fit. She came on for the first time back when Chanel West Coast was still there. She talked about going to the prom with the “cute boy” named Jake who posted a video asking her to go with him. Since Chanel has left the show, Nina has been asked to fill in probably more times than any other personality. She has a great sense of humor and often comes across with her innocence, either through cultural differences because she’s Danish and hasn’t quite figured out American ways or because she’s female and she just doesn’t get guys doing guy things. Rob and Steelo have to explain a few things to her and that really does make the show.

Tribute To Chanel West Coast

Chanel West Coast made a third of a great team for MTV but she was a very memorable part of it. Her laugh was the first thing you noticed as you watched the show. She made me laugh even when I didn’t find the clip all that funny. It was a genuine laugh and she wasn’t holding back just to be cool for the TV. She let it fly and that was one of the things that was most refreshing about her.

Her Style

via MTV

Her style changed brilliantly over the years. She went through changes but it was easy to see that they were all natural. After being on the show for so many years, that’s going to happen as a person ages from 23 years old to 35. Not only did her hairstyle change and her face did some growing up on the show, she also showed off her great taste in clothing. I wondered many times if she had a deal with a fashion designer because that would have been a very lucrative collaboration.

Genuine

If there was a baby talking or a puppy playing, she said so many times on the show, “That is so cute.” She was real. She has a heart and she wasn’t afraid to show it in an industry where sometimes, it’s not cool to act like you care.

Not only that but there were times when we heard her scream. The clips often show danger and that means people falling off of cliffs or getting penetrated by sharp objects. Of course, it would make anyone react that way if they were seeing the clip for the first time. But her reaction was so genuine. I love how she didn’t hold back. She reacted the way she would in real life, cameras rolling or not.
