Pre-TikTok Ban Down and Up Rollercoaster: You’d think the TikTok fiasco had brought the end of the world. But YouTube videos have always been there along with Instagram and they are responsible for launching the original influencers, powerful influencers who could mention a restaurant and put their special cheeseburger on the map.
YouTube videos are how many influencers got their start. Think about it! The list includes such people as Justin Bieber and Logan Paul. They set up a camera and the next thing they knew, money was flying into their faces. Not only that but Justin Bieber went on to enjoy a music career where he gets to sing songs on stage just like Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson did back when they were alive.
Logan Paul went a different way with his fame. Last I heard, he was wrestling and he has an online radio show that they call a podcast. I have no idea who came up with that name but I’m guessing it’s a broadcast from a pod, or something like that.
I Have YouTube Videos
Of course, I understand that it’s hard to build a following on any social media, let alone a YouTube videos channel with plenty of competition. Everyone’s screaming for attention and you have to scream louder, metaphorically.
You have to find a way to distinguish yourself because a lot of channels look exactly alike. One guy starts doing makeup videos and a hundred more makeup channels are spawned the next day. If a lady is finding success doing fitness videos, a thousand pop up ten minutes later. The funniest copycat series was when parents heard about a kid making millions of dollars playing with toys. Toy stores across the country enjoyed the sales as every parent from all walks of life ravished the shelves and started forcing their kids to play in front of a camera.
Doing My Own Thing
But if you had a very successful TikTok channel, it shouldn’t take you long to duplicate your success on YouTube. YouTube videos are still the staple of entertainment even though the TikTok generation thought they had their own thing in their own corner of the internet.
All it does is take a few seconds to think and realize the obvious. There are 2.7 billion monthly active users on YouTube and the only thing to beat that is Facebook with 3.06 billion monthly active users. Guess what? Facebook is still around too.

TikTok boasts 1 billion monthly active users so you do the math. It’s worth setting up shop and transferring all your stuff over to the video channel that has been there since the turn of the century. Just because U.S. influencers have been banned, you can still get your data and bring it on over to the You Tube.
That’s right! It’s the You Tube because it’s been about you all along. And “tube” is a reference to old-school televisions that had tubes in them for viewing. So, there’s a thing you know now…
