It was just a normal day, post 2020 though. So, we’ve pretty seen it all from Murder Hornets to Worldwide Lockdowns. There isn’t much that surprises us anymore. Then, along comes Sexyy Red who wants to start her Northside Princess brand off with a line of lipgloss. Well, good for her.
Then, you read some of the names of her products. First of all, I don’t know who wants to put these things on their lips. This comes across more like a gag gift than anything. So if Sexyy wants to market these in Spencer’s, that might make sense. But this isn’t happening at Saks Fifth Avenue or Bloomingdale’s.
Then again, we are living in post 2020! I have to keep reminding myself of that. Anything can happen these days.

Yellow Discharge and Gonorrhea are listed together. That was not by accident. But when you read the rest of the line of lipgloss, you realize that Sexyy was going for a specific type of branding.
She was not being nice about those names. There are only a few types of customers who would buy the lipgloss and then start smearing it on their lips. For the rest of the conscientious consumers, they’ll most likely take a pass. That would be a definite, no.
I want to be a fly on the wall when some kid comes home from the mall with some lipgloss from Sexyy Red. Will their parents flip and take her back to the mall to get her money back? Or will they grab some ice and wrap it in a hand cloth to put on their forehead because obviously, that’s the kind of girl who gives them a new headache every day?
