TMZ Is Quick To Capitalize On Britney Spears

Britney Spears has been struggling for years and it’s a shame because she’s such an awesome performer and she should be simply living her best life. But she’s great business for TMZ who has now capitalized on her divorce for their new television series.

Streaming now on Hulu, TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears: Divorce & Despair with the description, “A look at Britney Spears’ life as her marriage to Sam Asghari comes to an end; her family estrangement continues, with no meaningful support and an uncertain future finding the superstar utterly alone.”

The news about the divorce announcements just came out, and 15 minutes later TMZ already has a series on Hulu about her? It was locked and loaded. TMZ had it at the ready because no matter which way you look at it, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer is their bread and butter.

You’d think they would be nicer to her since she has given them so much to write about for their tabloid and talk about on their show. But it seems they like to target her, and it’s hardly ever accurate. Reporting on the divorce, Britney Spears made a smart move with the prenuptials, but TMZ reported that she’d most likely settle with him to avoid having her name dragged through the mud.

The thing about that is she made him sign a contract that specifically states he can’t speak about her at all, in any way, shape, or form. So, what would be the need to settle with him? This isn’t the first time TMZ has exaggerated their reports on her.

Earlier this year, TMZ had a video of her in a restaurant and they reported her as being “manic” and that she was having a meltdown. They said that she was talking jibberish, but their report is what’s jibberish because they didn’t get their facts straight nor do I think they cared. Tell me if you think she was out of hand when you watch the footage!

Now, their “investigation” is going to dive deep into all the factors that will find the “superstar utterly alone.” What a way to describe it as if they already know the outcome? That’s not investigative journalism. That’s called making the news up to fit your narrative.

Meanwhile, Britney Spears will be moving on just as she always has. TMZ will capitalize on it to move into a different sector of entertainment, the film industry. What can I say? That’s Hollywood, folks. I wonder if TMZ will be doing any other “investigative” documentaries, or is Britney Spears their only target?
