Donatella Versace can make headlines doing just about anything as the infamous fashion designer, head of the company with her name on it. Today’s headlines are a little different and the jokes that go with it are hilarious.
At the age of 23, Donatella Versace became the vice president of the Versace brand with her brother Gianni at the helm. She was often thought of as her brother’s muse until his death in 1997. Celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Courtney Love, Christina Aguilera, Demi Moore, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and January Jones have enjoyed wearing Versace, a fashion name that will never fade.
But that’s not what the headlines are about today. When she followed Hyunjin on Instagram, the internet went nuts and that was all they needed to entertain themselves. Of course, there is more of a backstory but I’m not quite sure some of the people joking around even know it. So, I thought I would start there.
Hyunjin is a member of the boy band Stray Kids and is described as the main dancer, rapper, and visual of the group. As a visual, I guess that means he’s a good-looking dancer that makes the girls scream and not a graphic designer who works on the set of the videos. This is where our story begins.
When Hyunjin joined the Versace family, that was a business move and Donatella Versace has been known to make big moves like that throughout her life. She does have a knack for finding great talent to represent the brand with respect and dignity.
So, there is a good business reason why Donatella would want to follow Hyunjin’s Instagram. But the fans are having so much fun with it, it’s too hard to pass up.
