The Rolling Stones haven’t gone anywhere, and they are just as good as ever. With their newly released hit “Angry,” they are climbing the charts the way they always have since the band first got together.
In the year 2023, The Rolling Stones are just as active as they always have been. They started in 1962, which means they’ve been rocking around the world for over 60 years. Give me the name of another band that has done that. I’ll wait.
The Beach Boys formed in 1961, a year before the legendary British band. But sadly, Dennis Wilson and his brother Carl Wilson are no longer with us. The remaining members who are still active today are Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. Golden Earring was formed in 1961 as well, but they seemed to have stopped in 2021. Who knows what their plans are for the future, but they aren’t active as of today.
Like The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones have dwindled down to Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood. So the difference is that while The Beach Boys haven’t recorded anything new since 2012, The Rolling Stones are climbing the charts today with a new hit.

Mick Jagger is 80 years old, while Keith Richards is 79 and Ronnie Wood is 76. So, their tour bus smells like Bengay, along with Jack Daniels and cigarettes. But they’re still doing it. Mick Jagger can still bring it, and so can the rest of the band. Not a note out of tune.
By the way, don’t you love all the jokes fans have about how old Keith Richards is, but look at Mick Jagger, a year older than him. How is he not a meme as well?
