What a world it would be if a car could drive itself safely and run on energy that could make it go forever with no carbon footprint. While it appears this is currently impossible, Tesla is trying to make strides in that direction. It just hasn’t ironed out all the wrinkles yet.
This winter, with the extreme cold weather that nature has dumped on us, is giving Tesla owners a huge dose of reality. Stranded in Supercharger Stations, Tesla owners are finding their fuel-convenience vehicles not so convenient. Imagine having to spend the night in a cold parking lot because your car won’t go, and because it needs a charge, it can’t even heat the cabin to keep you warm.
That would be a miserable situation, and this is one of those extreme circumstances that needs to be thought through more thoroughly. It could turn the entire market around, heading straight back to gasoline because no one wants to spend a night like that, so close to death.
The psychological thriller that has the dark corners of the internet buzzing, The Deeper Dark is available on Amazon now! If you like mind-bending page-turners, you'll love the story about a hero who comes home from the war to find his world has moved on without him and now he has a new war to fight as a corrupt network is threatening the only person he has left in his life...
For Apple Readers!
That might be a little extreme, but not at all out of the question. Getting an Uber to get from your car to your home until you can pick it up in warmer weather would not only be the slap in the face Tesla doesn’t need right now but also the butt of many jokes as if there weren’t enough already.
When you find out the Tesla Service Car is a Ford
But back to the jokes about gasoline…
A good old-fashioned Crocodile Dundee reference…
But the fact of the matter is…
It’s true that Tesla makes more headlines for its every fault than any other car maker out there. The fact is that it’s trying to give consumers an option they can feel comfortable owning. An option that one day may never require gasoline and might actually lessen the carbon footprint vehicles put on our environment. One that might actually be able to drive itself from point A to point B.
So, I give them props for what they are trying to do, and I’m pretty sure they are tough enough to take all the jokes along the way.
